Easier said than done


I don't always want to workout, or eat healthy, or even get out of bed. I have always tried to figure out why it can be so hard to push myself to make healthy choices, when I know I ALWAYS feel better after! ALWAYS...I mean I have NEVER regretted a workout or choosing a healthy meal! So, how can we keep ourselves on track even when we are busy with work, kids, house, etc...Well, I have a few suggestions that have worked for me!

1. Just Do It! Sounds cliche, but really just keep saying that mantra to yourself can help. Even write it down! Just Do it, Just do it, Just do it!

2. Tell yourself you only have to workout for 5 minutes. Just 5 minutes! You can do ANYTHING for 5 minutes!!! Chances are, you will feel so good, that you keep going!

3. Buddy up! Set a workout date in advance. You will be less likely to blow off your friend!

4. Schedule an am workout! Hard to push yourself, but if you can get it done early, you can relax the rest of the day!

5. Reward yourself with a non food treat for getting it done! Take a hot bath, or get that pedicure!

6. Reward yourself with new training gear! You will be so excited to wear your new stuff, you might even workout!

7. Downloud some new jams that will get your blood pumping! Good music can totally improve motivation!
